International Museums Weekend 16th - 17th June,2007

WHATS IT ALL ABOUT!!
It Is a means by which museums all over the world can get in touch via the use of Amateur Radio

Radio amateurs world wide will set up temporary stations in widely diversified museums from castles to ships. The event is now in its seventh year, and thousands of contacts have been made around the world.
The museums taking part over the years have included ships, castles, air museums, Napoleonic forts, pumping stations, wireless museums, racing museums and many others. Some museums taking part are: The Tower of London, Conisbrough Castle, Caboolture Historical Village Brisbane Australia and Battleship New Jersey USA plus many more.
This year will be the second time Tamworth Castle has taken part. The event is also a way to introduce amateur radio the the public, and what better place for a one hundred year old communication system to be demonstrated, than in a museum.

at redhouse farm furnace end .

There is a open weekend in kingsbury water park ,for the echills wood railway ..new train ride that has been put in the park!
The tamworth amateur radio society will be holding a one day event on the saturday JULY 14th 2007,to help comemerate this new venture!! the official openning time 13.00hrs. 1pm
